People of all ages can enjoy this fun, easy way to transform natural fabrics with dramatic, unique designs. Works best on cotton, linen or silk. Apply pastel directly into fabrics, cover completed designs with a clean sheet of paper or cloth, and press over it with a hot iron to set the dyes. Once set, the design is permanent and washable (if you are not happy with your design, don’t iron it, just wash it and try again)

These 7cm long Giotto Oil Pastels come in a set of 12 assorted colours.
A fantastic medium to use, they are convenient to carry, easy to paint with, give a good ground base and are excellent for layering. An excellent alternative to oil paints.
The pastels are made in Northumberland and contain only pure pigments
in a cycle of related hues, instead of adding white or black to the
colours. The result is intense, vibrant colour not muddied by the
blending of colours.
Unison's pastels contain very little binder, making them truly soft and
smooth. They are mixed to meticulous recipes and are based on
traditional pigments such as cadmiums, cobalts and natural and
synthetic earths. Pastels measure approximately 2-1/8in long × 5/8in
diameter (54 mm × 16 mm). Sticks vary slightly due to the hand-making
process.
Soft pastel crayons have extremely intense colours, a silky smooth flow
of colour, and are very easy to mix and blend. The brilliant, vivid
results achieved make them ideal for amateur artists, school art
lessons and creative handicraft enthusiasts. The soft pastel crayons
are well suited to different types of paper (e.g. flock paper), but
fantastic effects can also be achieved on other surfaces. For
preserving your pastel work, you should spray it with a fixative after
completion.

High quality drawing paper from Fabriano. 160g/m2, high rag content, acid-free, pH neutral and with high archival permanence. 36 lightfast colours. Grainy, rough paper which is neutrally sized. Very good pigment uptake and therefore best suited to soft and oil pastel but also for pencil, grey and brown chalk, gouache and acrylic.
It took over three years, at the turn of the 20th Century, to formulate the Sennelier range of Extra Soft Pastels “ŕ l’écu” and thus to create one of the largest chromatic range of pastels. Throughout the century, this range of tones has evolved, but the heart of its making remains unchanged.
A Sennelier extra soft pastel is composed of high quality pure pigment grounded with a natural transparent binder. The high quality composition of “ŕ l’écu” pastels is the result of a perfect balance between binder and pigment. For gradient shades, increasing amounts of mineral fines are added, ultimately tending towards white. The exceptional brightness is the result of the pigment and of the natural mineral fines discovered by Sennelier in 1905 and that have been used ever since.
